AND SO IT BEGINS

This story starts with knee replacement surgery. Not mine *yet. But my mom's. You see, she had knee replacement surgery about a year ago and as a motivational tactic, we decided to plan a massive road trip through the west and hike as much as possible. Never one to back down from a challenge, we definitely hiked a lot - to the tune of 20,000 steps a day - or so says Fitbit.

Let's start the journey at the very beginning and the route: Denver, Mount Rushmore, Black Hills National Forest, Bighorn National Canyon, The Grand Tetons, Yellowstone National Park, Salt Lake City Utah, Zion National Park, Lake Powell and Antelope Canyon, Moab, and back to Denver.
